What a night.....Makayla was upset all night. Finally old enough to tell her mom that her ear hurts. Nothing like fighting a ear infection. The rest of the night was wide away and very uncomfortable for mom and Makayla.
First thing the morning we went to the Wauseon urgent care....wonderful! She had another chest X-ray and a swab of her inner nose taken. The results came back 2 hours later.....ears are filled with fluid and are very swollen and she has bronchitis.
Makayla will be taking some strong doses of antibiotics for the next 5 days and then see her ENT. Looking like we might talk about tubes again......taking after her mom and Aunt Kelley.
Hope we get some good nights rest tonight.
Keep her in your prayers....thank you!

WOW - what a day! Makayla stuck a gum wrapper up her nose.
Today was a crazy day. This morning I had a OB appointment which went very well. Listened to the heartbeat again - that is always fun to hear! This afternoon I was home with Makayla! Usually we have a great day together - not today. She was being naughty around nap time and got sent to her room. Later she came out and told me "the wrapper mom". I was not sure what she was talking about - thought she wanted a good reason to get out of a nap. "Mom the gum wrapper" - I asked what about it - "It is up my nose"!
Okay are you done laughing?!?!
After calling my sister (Kelley) who is almost done with nursing school - I called the Dr.'s office and they had me go to the Bryan office to have it taken out. The Dr. was not sure she could get it out b/c Makayla had that wrapper so far up there. Thank goodness she was able to get ahold of it and pull it out. Makayla says, "Thank you - now I can breath" Priceless day let me say.
Hope all of you have had or will have this good of a story.
I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and hope our next day together is eventful but not like this one was!

Baby Kruse #2
February 2nd (Brian's Birthday) I felt a little different and decided to take a pregnancy test and soon found it to be positive! Brian says it was the best birthday present he has ever had! Baby Kruse should be here sometime in the early part of October! The first few weeks were a little rough - morning sickness, tired, and grumpy - all with having Makayla to run after. Now, I am feeling great and ready to have a wonderful pregnancy! Last Friday (March 20), I had some lab tests run and asked to see if they could hear a heartbeat - and we did! This Thursday I get to see the Dr. for the first time. Makayla was told she will be a "big" sister and is very excited!
We, will keep you posted on how things are going.

Makayla Grace Kruse
Makayla Grace Kruse is our first child! She was born July 20, 2006 at Henry County Hospital. She weighed 7 lbs. and 13 1/2 oz. and was 21 inches long. Brian and I think she is the best thing that has happened! We, enjoy being parents and sharing our love with her.
Makayla is now 2 1/2 , weighs 30 pounds, and is about 3ft. in height. Where has time gone?....She is growing up so fast.
Makayla's favorites ~ swimming, playing outside, riding her bike, coloring, playing cards/games, animals, pickels, strawberries, cheeseburgers, chips, and candy.
She is looking forward to going to preschool at St.John's Lutheran School next school year.
